Information Technology Trainer                                                July 2014 – present

Computers for Seniors (own business) 

As a contractor I provide specialist computer training and services to a broad range of clients from seniors to small businesses, clients with special needs and the homeless /disadvantaged. This also involves assisting with purchasing and selecting plans for new computers, phones and iPads/tablets.

  • Sourcing new clients through presentations, social media, face to face, telephone, networking events and referrals
  • Visiting private homes, seniors centres, retirement villages and community centres to provide computer training and services
  • Visiting businesses to provide training and support for websites, social media and email marketing etc
  • Conducting training in Short Film/story telling/ editing/ AV equipment, Social media and Photoshop for homeless and disadvantaged clients for St Vincent’s de Paul
  • Ensuring effective communication with clients and work colleagues
  • Meeting project deadlines in line with agreed standards and milestones
  • Conducting, managing and attending to approved training projects and providing timely updates on progress and implementation

The Chapel by the Sea provided community services and events in music, art, guest speakers, special interest groups and spirituality. My responsibilities were varied and included: –

  • Creating promotional material for events and services and publishing via e-news, social media, websites and flyers
  • Liaising with community organisations and stakeholders to develop relationships to organise and host their event
  • Facilitating and coordinating in-house community programs and events
