How to engage students in the classroom

Zoe at Computers for Seniors was helping  Rose to design classroom lessons that incorporate technology to connect with students through a platform ( technology ) that motivates and inspires them.

The apps we used were Mentimetre and QR codes. Students are encouraged to use their smart phone to type in their responses to an activity which is then displayed on the electronic white board.

We see those QR codes and often don’t know what they are for – but the digital natives do – so why not talk their language and connect?

Teaching is a service of giving and we need to be able to connect with our students – special education is all about this.
