iMac’s are exquisite

Zoe from Computer Help 121 in Sydney was called to start teaching Rachel from the very beginning – a very good place to start – on her stylish 27″ iMac.

Rachel has had an iMac for 4 years and her partner did all the work on it, now it was her time to become empowered and get up to speed with technology, she had never used a computer before.

Computer terminology has its on unique language – especially for the Emglish second language student. Explaining, demonstrating and writing down definitions for what some of us may take for granted.

Using the track pad, dragging, dropping, highlighting, clicking, resizing, moving Windows and recognising the different shapes the cursor becomes are skills to learn. The trackpad responds to different pressures and this can be a fine motor skill for some that is difficult to master bringing much frustration.

Rachel had never backed up her phone or updated the software – little things that can sometimes be just gaps in people’s understanding can trip us up.

Learn the basics fill in the gaps and make the best use of your time online and feel the music.
